Facilities Maintenance
We work with managers and quality control representatives to stay on top of repairs and service requests. This can be implemented in several ways; by way of a simple email or phone call requesting service. Alternatively, we can review and identify items of concern or in need of attention during one of our monthly building checklist reviews. Lastly if needed on a more consistent schedule we can provide full or part time staffing in house to fulfill labour, carpentry, millwright, project management support as your production demands require.
Pre-Inspection Reviews and Corrective Actions
In addition to our inspection review and checklists we follow up with step by step plans of action to address and correct deficiencies onsite. We are fully staffed to review, identify and execute construction repairs regardless of the size or complexity. These reports and reviews can help form and identify typical tasks that need to be addressed within a specific time frame or actioned immediately.
Construction and Project Management
Many trade specialties exist within the manufacturing and processing industry, being able to knowledgeably execute and deliver these services in a safe and timely manner while maintaining material performance and warranties is essential. Working closely with material suppliers to ensure compliance while providing skilled workers with appropriate training and support to ensure that the quality of service and installation will remain consistent throughout the life cycle of the material and building assemblies. Training and retaining skilled and competent technicians familiar with GMP procedures and other site specific rules and regulations is critical in delivery. We routinely review and update techniques or processes to ensure we are current in delivering solutions and output that is executed professionally and competently.
Execution and oversight are critical elements in delivering results for any size of project. Staffing projects with experienced professionals dedicated to building the best product possible. Working with and retaining skilled, knowledgeable sub-trades familiar with specifications and processes typically found in our industry. Bringing together these components and disciplines creates projects efficiency, cost savings and mitigates different types of project risk.

How can you help us prepare for our SQF inspections?
We will complete a plant review and pre-inspection audit of the interior and exterior regarding the building envelope and structure. We will identify items of concern that may need to be addressed or noted, in addition to items that must be corrected prior to the SQF audit. We will also recommend material and construction technicians that will endure and preform within manufacturing environments. In addition to the reviews, we can recommend or introduce building material specialists from suppliers and manufacturers we routinely work with.
We don’t know what we need to do, can you help and recommend?
Our team can come in and help create solutions for material selection and specification in addition to design and use of space recommendations. We can work with any in-house team to review and develop plans or specifications. We can also assist by bringing in architects or consultants if the project requires this level of involvement.
What is the smallest project or repair you are willing to complete?
We can help with the smallest repairs like broken windows, damaged walls, or crumbling concrete to new builds or additions/renovations of your existing plant. We retain inhouse labour and skilled trades in addition to our procurement, project management, and supervisory staff.
How can you help us prepare for our upcoming CFIA Certification submission?
We can review and assist by visiting your facility, identifying the needs, developing and recommending materials and specifications in line with standards and building practices accustomed to GMP in consumable product facilities. Advise on timelines, sequences and even funding options for work required.
What geographical area do you cover?
Our team currently operates within the province of Ontario, Canada. Serving the industry from Ottawa, Windsor to as far as Timmins. We are also excited to announce a new office in Florida opening in 2025.
What type of work do you self-perform?
We preform carpentry and skilled labour tasks such as door and window install, framing, wall repairs, trim and base, specialty door and hardware, concrete repairs and installation of various types, industrial floor grinding and flooring installation, just to name a few.
Is it expensive to complete building maintenance checklists and reviews to ensure we remain SQF, BRC or HACCP compliant?
This does not need to be a burdensome cost. We can custom-tailor a plan to your plant that fits both schedules and expectations as well as demands based on manufacturing intensity. This checklist will help support any QA team in place by being proactive in identifying items of concern that would otherwise be flagged by an auditor. Even simple items such as missing caulking, damaged flooring, or potential pest entry points can be corrected and repaired prior to any formal audit that would flag these issues. Typically monthly or quarterly reviews and checklists start at around $299.00.
